Tracey Iheme
Tracey Iheme is the owner and operator of D'Body by Ceytra, which specializes in post-operative care (Lymphatic Drainage/Massage), and Body Contouring. Tracey is a licensed and certified Post-Op Specialist and Phlebotomist. She was trained and mentored by D'Body Med Spa, one of the best medical spas in New York City with 20 plus years in the Cosmetic Surgery/Post-Op field.
Q. What was the inspiration behind starting D'Body By Ceytra?
D’Body By Ceytra is inspired by my work as a nurse assistant for 12 years in the industry. I've always had a passion for helping people. After experiencing life-threatening trauma from cosmetic surgery myself, I decided I wanted to become an advocate for women by providing the best in education and care.
Q. What services does D'Body By Ceytra provide and who's it for?
We offer post-operative surgery care, lymphatic drainage massages, Body Contouring services, and nutritional consultations. I also work as a Nurse Assistant and Phlebotomist.
Q. What steps did you take to get your business up and running?
I was trained and mentored at D'Body Med Spa, one of the best medical spas in New York City, with 20+ years in the Cosmetic Surgery/Post-Op field. And I was also mentored by a plastic surgeon as well. I actually started offering services in my home until I built my clientele and then was able to get my own space/shop. After that, my business became booming and busy. Prior to entering this global marketplace, I was known to work in the healthcare field.
Q. Showing up for yourself and others as an entrepreneur is hard. How do you keep yourself motivated and disciplined?
Being an entrepreneur is not easy, and every day I have to find a way to keep myself focused and motivated. I think my support system, and knowing that I worked hard to be where I am now. It took a lot of dedication and commitment to make it possible. I can’t lose that, so I push through the process of getting my business to where it needs to be.

Q. It’s Women’s History Month. Name two women who inspire you and why.
The two people who inspire me are my mother and sister. My mother is a strong woman, and to see her take care of four children by herself was just incredible. She is my superwoman in real life! She did everything to make sure her kids were protected and fed. No matter if she had to work three jobs, my mother did her best to make sure that we all had a roof over our heads. My mother deserves everything, and that’s why I work hard now. My sister, Tammy, is like my best friend. She inspires me every day. The way she has prevailed and has always been there for me. One thing about my sister; is that she has never been a quitter and that’s what inspires me to keep going.
Q. When you hear the words ‘Women Empowerment” what comes to mind?
When I hear women empowerment, to me it means breaking barriers and creating a world where women get to uplift and inspire each other. It also means that women have the freedom to make their own choices, pursue their dreams, and have opportunities in anything we set our minds too.
Q. What's your superpower?
My superpower is my resilience. I have the ability to overcome challenges and keep pushing forward. I do recognize it and I’m able to make it through. Another superpower of mine is my confidence which helps me own my strengths and using them to make a difference.
Q. What does success mean to you?
Success can mean a lot of things, but for me it means two very important things: Growth and Impact. For me growth is just continuously learning, evolving, and becoming the best version of myself. And impact for me is just among a positive difference in people's lives and leaving a lasting legacy.
Q. What advice can you give to aspiring entrepreneurs who would like to turn their dreams into realities?
The advice I can give to aspiring entrepreneurs who want to turn their dreams into reality is to never give up on yourself. It’s okay to start off small and learn to grow. Progress is always progress, no matter where you are in life. Don’t be afraid of the “No’s” because there’s always going to be a “Yes.” And stay consistent with yourself and always put told first! And please get your rest too! Your health is your wealth!
